As part of its commitment to provide public access and recreational amenities to the region, the Port of San Diego is making upgrades to three of its park playgrounds along the waterfront. In June, 2017 Barrio Logan became a more hospitable place thanks to the reopening of Cesar Chavez Park. The long-awaited facility provides much-needed playground in a community that is becoming increasingly crowded with residents and congested by vehicles utilizing the adjacent soccer field. Recreation Brands of Southern California consulted with the Port of San Diego and we developed an innovative and creative design with Play & Park Structures Boulderscapes equipment including swings for school-age children ages 5-12.
